WELCOME TO HMI

Reaching the Lost, Strengthening the Church, by the Power of God

Ministry and Purpose

Evangelist David King has been preaching since the summer of 1993.  In that time he has traveled around the southern United States, Mexico, Grenada, the Philippines, and Burma doing healing crusades, revivals, radio, and television. He has built two church buildings in the Philippines that are still going strong today.

Our Call and Fire is to see cities shaken by the Gospel of power like in Acts 19, and to see the churches grow as a result as Paul said in Romans 15:19-20.  We endeavor to build New Testament ministry like the Apostle Paul did, by standing with the local churches that stand with the full Gospel to win the lost and grow the church by adding to it such as should be saved.  Churches ought not grow at the expense of another church.

In this Call and Fire is preaching, teaching, demonstration, and impartation.  We preach the Gospel with fire and fervor, and we teach it with wisdom and authority.  The teaching of the Word preserves the preaching of the Word.  Preaching moves people, changes people, lifts and increases them.  Teaching establishes them so strong in the Word that they retain everything God has done, and increase from there even more.  Demonstration proves the Gospel to the lost, builds the faith of the believers, and greatly accelerates the growth of the Gospel.  Without it the kingdom of God on the earth is an Indy Race car with a driver who doesn’t know how to shift out of 1st gear.  Impartation empowers other believers with the same. We need everyone preaching, teaching, and demonstrating!

The Call
The #1 call of God on David and Rileigh King in Harvest Ministries International is to do city-wide soulwinning and healing crusades through the support of the local churches and strong Television and media ministry.  Along with that, David and Rileigh have a Word teaching ministry.  The teaching of the Word preserves the work that the Lord does in peoples hearts, and we can’t grow spiritually beyond the level that we are grounded in the Word.

David and Rileigh both sensed the call of God at early ages, and have followed the Lord in it.  Please enjoy this video on the Call of God.

Belief and Doctrine
We believe the Bible, nothing more and nothing less. If the Bible says it, then it’s true, and there is no private interpretation of the scripture.  No scripture can be used in a way that violates other scripture.  The Bible is the best commentary on the Bible.  We believe the New Testament and everything in it.  Jesus saved, heals, delivers, baptizes with the Holy Ghost and gives gifts of the Spirit to everyone.  We believe the book of Revelation, that the Rapture takes place before the tribulation, and that Jesus returns at the end of the tribulation as the official 2nd Coming of Christ.

In detail, we believe the following:

  1. The Scripture Inspired. The Scriptures, both the Old and New Testaments, are verbally inspired of God and are the revelation of God to man, the infallible, authoritative rule of faith and conduct (2 Timothy 3:15-17; 1 Thessalonians 2:13; 2 Peter 1:21).
  2. The One True God. The one true God has revealed Himself as the eternally self-existent “I AM,” the Creator of heaven and earth and the Redeemer of mankind. He has further revealed Himself as embodying the principles of relationship and association as Father, Son, and Holy Ghost (Deuteronomy 6:4; Isaiah 43:10,11; Matthew 28:19; Luke 3:22)
  3. The Deity of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God.
  4. The Fall of Man. Man was created good and upright, for God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness.” However, man by voluntary transgression fell and thereby incurred not only physical death but also spiritual death, which is separation from God (Genesis 1:26, 27; 2:17; 3:6; Romans 5:12-19).
  5. The Salvation of Man. Man’s only hope of redemption is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
  6. The Ordinances of the Church. a. Baptism in Water. b. Holy Communion.
  7. The Baptism in the Holy Ghost. All believers are entitled to and should ardently expect and earnestly seek the promise of the Father, the baptism in the Holy Ghost and fire, according to the command of our Lord Jesus Christ.
  8. The Evidence of the Baptism in the Holy Ghost. The Baptism of believers in the Holy Ghost is witnessed by the initial physical sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit of God gives them utterance (Acts 2:4). The speaking in tongues is the same in essence as the gift of tongues.
  9. Sanctification. Sanctification is an act of separation from that which is evil, and of dedication unto God.
  10. The Church. The Church is the Body of Christ, the habitation of God through the Spirit, with divine appointments for the fulfillment of her great commission.
  11. The Ministry. A divinely called and scripturally ordained ministry has been provided by our Lord for a twofold purpose: 1) The evangelization of the world, and 2) The edifying of the Body of Christ
  12. Divine Healing. Divine healing is an integral part of the gospel.
